Research experts Smith & Henderson have today announced the finalists in the 2015 Best Franchise Awards sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
The awards are based on feedback from thousands of franchisees that have completed the Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark. The survey asks franchisees to anonymously rate their franchisor on everything from training and support to shared goals and how it has compared with their expectations.

diddi dance Founder is a Finalist in Best Business Women Awards
Congratulations are in order for diddi dance and Founder Anne-Marie Martin who a is a finalist in the Best Business Women Awards 2015. Anne-Marie is a finalist in two categories for these awards: Best Business Woman Working with Children & Families and Best Business Woman in Franchising.
The Best Business Women Awards were created by Debbie Gilbert, a multi award winning Mumpreneur who has been running small businesses since 1999. She knows first-hand the huge impact of winning a business award and believes that women running small businesses should be truly recognised for their achievements. These new awards are specifically for women who are making a real difference not only in their own lives but in their local community.
About the categories Anne-Marie is a finalist for:
Best Business Woman Working with Children & Families – This award will be presented to the best business that supports children or families. They must prove the impact they make in their field and how their business provides support that makes a clear difference.
Best Business Woman in Franchising – This award will be presented to a woman who is performing brilliantly in a franchise business or who has franchised their business. Open to any type of business and to both franchisees and franchisors.

diddi dance would like to congratulate our franchisee Emma Hayward of diddi dance North Shropshire, Central Cheshire & North West Staffordshire who received Highly Commended at the mumandworking Awards 2015 in her category – Franchisee of the Year!
She was up against some very stiff competition and founder Anne-Marie Martin could not have been more proud of her.

diddi dance Colchester gets some great coverage!
After just opening her diddi dance this month, Charlotte Foxley of diddi dance Colchester, Maldon, Halstead & West Tendring has already received some great press about her new diddi dance her hopes for the future of it!
We couldn’t be more happy for Charlotte after having just launched the area and her classes!
Here is an excerpt from the article:
“I strongly believe toddlers need to get active and socialise and our classes are a great way for them to meet other children and join in with as much as they want to and in time they will become confident and learn what is going to happen next.”
Charlotte is also hoping youngsters with learning disabilities will go along and she is trying to set up special after school sessions.
Charlotte’s eldest son, Charlie, who is now eight, has special needs and is a pupil at Lexden Springs School in Colchester.
She said: ” When Charlie was three, I took him to a class and it was awful. He wasn’t walking and there was no understanding so I left. I wouldn’t want another mum to feel like that. I am passionate about setting up a diddi dance class for special needs children of school age as an after school activity in Colchester. This is in the early stages of planning and I am currently looking at venues and talking to other mums to see how we could get this to work. I understand how difficult it is to join clubs and activities in the community and how often we cannot, as their needs are such it is hard to participate. But I would really encourage any parents and carers who have a child under five with special needs to come along to one of the classes during the day. I understand what it’s like so hopefully they will feel able to come along.”

Due to lots of demand diddi dance Essex is starting a second class at their Springfield venue at 11:00am on Wednesdays starting this week, 16/09!

Over the past two months several award nominations have come through for diddi dance as a company and for some of our franchisees. See what we are currently up for below and if your local diddi dance has been nominated be sure to show your support by voting for them, if you can, and saying “Congrats” next time you are in class!
First up is Emma Hayward of diddi dance North Shropshire, Central Cheshire & North West Staffordshire. She was shortlisted for the mumandworking award – Franchisee of the Year earlier this summer and just this past week it was announced she is now a finalist for the award! Congratulations Emma!
The awards will be announced on 22 September, so we will keep you updated if she wins!
